The company, which was founded in 1997, relies on expertise in the areas of business administration, engineering and organisation. As an independent system integrator, aibis^® provides its customers with customised mobile solutions that can be integrated in the current system environments. aibis's scope of services ranges from implementation and consulting to application development and after-sales support. The aibis^® company has its offices in Hamburg and Potsdam (Germany).

Company History:

1997 foundation of aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH by Mr. Jürgen Busacker. Key areas of the company are network integration and IT procurement.

1998 Big project contracts signed with a worldwide operating logistics service provider and a Hamburg based insurance promptly accelerated the growth of aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH whose staff umber rose to 6. "Mobility" became a further key area of the company.

1999 aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH changed quarters from Repsoldstrasse to Wendenstrasse. The rapid growth of the company made it clear that a larger office area was required for further and ongoing growth. In the meantime the aibis staff number rose to 12.

2000 Further growth made it necessary to open a second office in Haldesdorfer Strasse. A new section for application development was established with mobile solutions as its main activity focus. This new section made a successful start trough the development of home standard solutions and individual solutions for various customers. By the end of 2000 the staff number reached 20. Establishment of a new section for document management systems. This underlined the company's emphasis on "mobility" as its core business.

2001 Realisation of the first projects in the area of document management systems. The company's main focus was clearly set on mobility. The reshaping of aibis^® into a system integrator for mobile solutions was thus accelerated. A contract signed for the development and integration of a worldwide supply chain management system (SCM) brought the aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH activities into the international stage. Different sites in the USA, Asia and Europe have been integrated in this SCM system. By that time the company counted 27 staff members. 9.11 led to a distinct drop in orders during the 4^th quarter of 2001.

2002 Initiation of a corporate consolidation with the explicit commitment as a "Mobility Company". This unequivocal emphasis on mobility as the company's core business will soon show a positive effect at the end of the year. The increasing number of complex IT projects required the establishing of a new section for IT consulting which rounded the corporate structure of aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH off. Foundation of the PuLS company which combines the core competences of several companies to come up with a solution in the area of procurement management outsourcing. The staff number stayed unchanged.

2003 aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH has evolved within few years into an acknowledged system integrator for mobile solutions in North Germany.

2004 aibis^® Informationssysteme GmbH celebrated its "get-together". In order to create a further synergy effect, the company's both sites were consolidated in the Haldesdorfer Straße office.

The company's solution SkaiBeach won the second prize at the "Mobile Award" in the USA.

2005 Foundation of aibis^® Informationssysteme Potsdam GmbH. We are pleased to provide our customers in the future with mobile computing solutions realised in the new site. The establishment of further sites is scheduled.

2006 aibis^® Potsdam won the Best Practice Award in the competence category "Mobility and Communication" for its SkaiFacility solution. The Best Practice contest was organised by the sector initiative 'We make IT Berlinbrandenburg' in cooperation with the association of software, information and communication industry in the federal states of Berlin and Brandenburg (SIBB).

Project contract for research and development signed with the state government of Brandenburg concerning the subject matter 'Mobility in hospitals and medical practices'.

2007 To internationalise the solution business, aibis^® concludes the first distribution contract on the CeBIT 2007 with the company CubeIQ of Athens. CubeIQ is a leading distributor in Greece and the Balkan countries and will carry the success of our solutions into the relevant channel with SkaiForms.

On January, 1st 2007 aibis Potsdam moves into new offices in the district of Babelsberg to offer the requirements for growing business.

The Hamburg branch moved to modern business space on July, 1st 2007, which is situated centrally in Hamburg-Wandsbek with good traffic connections.

In May, aibis Potsdam wins first place of the Best Practice Awards in Berlin with the digital pen solution SkaiForms. A part of the prize money was donated to the Potsdam streetworkers Wildwuchs, which aibis supports since end of 2006.

Since the beginning of 2007, aibis works together with ten other companies on the network project TOURIST in the region of Lausitz-Spreewald. The project is headed by Fraunhofer Anwendungszentrum für Logistiksystemplanung und Informationssysteme (ALI) Cottbus and aims for an individualized and demand-oriented information system for tourists in the region.

On August, 25th 2007 the 10th anniversary of aibis Hamburg comes up. Aibis celebrates the jubilee on September, 13th with invited guests in the Lustspielhaus in Hamburg.
